The Combat Veterans For Congress PAC is endorsing the 21st Combat Veteran For Congress to run for re-election this year.  He is a fiscally conservative candidate who will work to rein in the out of control spending by the Obama Administration.  Congressman Adam D. Kinzinger, Lt Col-AFNG (R-IL) http://www.electadam.com of Channahon, IL; he has served in the Air Force Special Operations, Air Combat Command, Air Mobility Command, and the Air National Guard. Since his election to Congress in the 2010 mid-term election, Congressman Kinzinger has consistently voted for a strong National Defense, supported combat personnel “Going In Harm’s Way Daily”, has repeatedly voted to rein in the out of control spending, has worked to find realistic methods of cutting federal spending, to identify and curb irresponsible fiscal practices of the Obama Administration, to pass a balanced budget amendment to the United States’ Constitution, and has worked with his colleagues on the Hill to reinvigorate the US economy.  Adam earned a bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University in 2000.  At age 20 Adam became one of the youngest candidates to be elected to a seat on the McLean County Board; he was reelected to a second term in 2002.

Cong Kinzinger is running in the 16th Congressional District primary against Cong Don Manzullo (R-IL) who voted with Jesse Jackson and Dennis Kucinich to slash the Defense Budget in the middle of the Arab Spring and without committee hearings, voted to reduce funds by 3.5 percent for the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security Budgets, voted with Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) for an across the board cut in Defense Appropriations, voted for Barney Frank's Amendment for across the board cuts to Defense Appropriations, and joined 134 Democrats including Nancy Pelosi, to reduce appropriations for military personnel and the Defense Health Care Program.  The Combat Veterans For Congress are encouraging all Americans who support combat personnel “Going In Harm’s Way Daily”, not to vote for Cong Manzullo who has repeatedly voted against the best interest of all US Military personnel and Veterans.

In 2003, Adam joined the US Air Force, and was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in November 2003; he earned his pilot wings in 2005.  In 2007, he received the US Air Force Airman’s Medal for saving the life of a young woman who was viciously attacked.  Despite the likelihood that he too would be stabbed, Adam wrestled the knife away from the attacker and pinned him to the ground until the police arrived.  Capt Kinzinger’s Combat tours in Afghanistan were from March to April 2006, and September 2007; combat tours in Iraq were March–April 2007, March-June 2008, and February–May 2009.  Capt Kinzinger’s was awarded 6 Air Medals for 120 Combat Missions.  He was also awarded the Airman’s Medal for Heroism, Valley Forge Cross for Heroism, Aerial Achievement Medal, Global War on Terrorism and Expeditionary Medal, and numerous service and campaign medals.

The Combat Veteran’s For Congress PAC is pleased to endorse Congressman Adam Kinzinger, Capt-AFNG (R-IL) for re-election to Congress in the 16th Congressional District.  Congressman Kinzinger would continue to support the American people with his extraordinary public sector skills and wisdom to better solve problems, represent constituents in his Congressional District, and safeguard the Republic.  If you review Congressman Kinzinger’s positions on his Web site, you would be pleased with his stands; they agree with the Combat Veterans For Congress Mission Statement.  We look forward to working with Congressman Kinzinger, and are pleased that a Combat Veteran of his caliber is running for re-election to Congress.  If you have friends, associates, or relatives who know voters in the 16th Congressional District of Illinois, kindly pass this E-mail on to them, and ask them to support Congressman Kinzinger by working in his campaign, providing financial support for his campaign in any amount, and/or by networking with others who would be willing to support his campaign. The military is one of the few remaining institutions producing the caliber of men and women needed to restore this nation to the greatness our Founding Fathers envisioned.  We have endorsed another Combat Veteran For Congress that General George Washington would have approved of.  He is a Veteran who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable “to The United States of America” for an amount “up to and including his life.”
