Amy enlisted in the Army National Guard between her junior and senior year in high school before getting accepted to West Point.  Upon graduation in 2009, she was assigned to 3-187 Infantry Battalion at Fort Campbell, KY.  She deployed to Regional Command East, Afghanistan in 2010 where she primarily provided contracting and purchasing support for 7 remote combat outposts. Upon return, she was reassigned to 504th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade and deployed in 2014 to Kosovo.  As the Multinational Battle Group East Deputy G4, she managed a $16M budget supporting 1,500 troops from 11 nations.

After departing the military in 2015, she spent 10 years in executive search, primarily recruiting within the power generation sector in the U.S. and abroad. She lived in Singapore from 2018 - 2022, recruiting across APAC, and giving her a world view of the importance of global energy chains and how intertwined national security and GDP growth are to power generation.

She joined Combat Veterans For Congress to actively support combat veterans' bids for congress in order to bring the perspectives of combat veterans into our government.
