The Combat Veterans For Congress PAC is endorsing CWO4 Chris Shea, Navy SEAL, as the 157th Combat Veteran For Congress since we formed in 2009.  Former Chief Warrant Officer 4 (CWO4) of Watertown, CT is currently running for the 5th District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.  As an America First conservative with common sense values, prioritizing God, Family, and Country,

CWO4 Shea believes in building a strong National Defense system, supporting military veterans and first responders, enforcing immigration laws currently on our books as well as bringing about needed reforms, reducing our deficit, and building true energy independence.

If you are in Connecticut’s 5th district which encompasses 41 towns in northern Connecticut, please mark Tuesday, August 11th, 2026 on your calendar to vote for Chris’s during the primary election and Tuesday, November 3rd, 2026 for the general election.  If you have not registered to vote, you must register by Friday, July 24th, 2026.

Chris Shea is a Connecticut native who was born and raised in northern Connecticut and has spent his whole life in there with the exception of military deployments.  Chris is a career public servant having spent 33 years in the U.S. Navy with periods of active duty and reserves and as a paramedic and fire fighter where he has served with the North Haven Fire Department since 2009, currently holding the rank of Lieutenant.  In addition, he continues to help military members transition into first responder careers through Hero to Hero, which he founded in 2020 along with his wife, which provides support and resources to those who have served our country, enabling them to pursue their dreams and make a positive impact in their communities.

On May 1st, 2024, Hero to Hero was honored in the Senate Chamber by State Senator Eric Berthel for this “vital service during a time when our towns have significant need for more first-responder heroes,” said Sen. Berthel.

His assignments included SEAL Teams 8 and 18, Naval Special Warfare Development Group, Special Operations Command North, the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City, and the Pentagon. He deployed worldwide on counterterrorism, intelligence, and special operations missions including Bosnia, Afghanistan, and Mexico.

Chris is running against “The Squad” member Jahana Hayes, who has occupied CT’s 5th District seat since 2019.  This Democrat has focused her legislative agenda on increasing government spending on failing social programs.  Notably, she has heavily focused on expanding SNAP which has been exploited repeatedly by fraudsters for decades, costing Taxpayers millions, and contributing to the current debt figure of over $113,000 born by each U.S. citizen as part of our country’s national debt.

Chris is a fiscal conservative who believes in combating fraud, waste, and abuse.  In the Navy, he oversaw a budget of $120 Million and knows first hand how to preserve and defend hard-earned, taxpayer dollars.  He also believes in improving U.S. Energy Independence and stopping the revival of the Green New Deal.  He supports building U.S Energy infrastructure and U.S. Energy Dominance so that we are not dependent on foreign adversaries for our energy needs which affect supply chains, fertilizer costs, food costs, and the daily needs of Americans.  He supports small modular nuclear reactors.

Chris has been endorsed by U.S. Congressmen Rep. Ryan Zinke (MT-1), Rep. Eli Crane (AZ-2), and Rep. John McGuire (VA-5), all former Navy SEALs, as well as SEAL PAC and NoHFD Professional Firefighters in addition to Combat Veterans For Congress PAC.

He is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), American Legion, and Cornerstone Church and volunteers with the Special Olympics, St. Baldrick’s Foundation, Brian Bill Foundation, 9-11/Ground Zero foundation, and Navy SEAL Foundation.  He is guided by his family’s Christian values, prioritizing God, Family, and Country, and believes in protecting the Judeo-Christian values this country was founded on, and fighting the infiltration of the Marxist, woke agenda. If Chris is elected, he will bring common sense to Washington and fight for the people of Connecticut.
