Op Ed # 639 The Rise of the Naval Academy Zampolit Cadre

STARRS continues to alert American Citizens about what the Socialist and Marxists members in the Biden/Obama administration are doing to indoctrinate and brainwash members of the US Armed Forces in the Marxist created Diversity and Black Lives Matter Programs. In the below listed article written for STARRS by Commander Salamander, STARRS exposes the harmful racist “Diversity Education Program” being forcefully indoctrinating and brainwashing the minds of Midshipmen at the US Naval Academy.
To understand why the US Naval Academy was created 178 years ago, one must understand the Mission Statement of the US Naval Academy, as follows:
"To develop Midshipmen morally, mentally and physically and to imbue them with the highest ideals of duty, honor and loyalty in order to graduate leaders who are dedicated to a career of naval service and have potential for future development in mind and character to assume the highest responsibilities of command, citizenship and government."
For 178 years, there has never been anything in the Educational Programs at the US Naval Academy or in the Mission Statement of the US Naval Academy like the current “Diversity Education Program” supporting “Black Lives Matter” and subtly vilifying white Americans.
The current “Diversity Education Program” at the US Naval Academy is outlined in its entirety in the Superintendent of the US Naval Academy’s instruction, USNA COMDTMIDN Instruction 1500.5. There can be no doubt about what is being done to install the anti-white racist “Diversity Education Program” designed to brainwash the minds of impressionable Midshipmen, in order to have them someday instill the same harmful “Diversity Program” into the minds of Sailors in the US Navy, and Marines in the US Marine Corps; the program is further described in the below listed STARRS article.
The Diversity Education Program, was approved by the Diversity Officers in the Department of Defense, under the supervision of Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin; it is outlined and documented in USNA COMDTMIDNINST_1500.5-DIVERSITY_PEER_EDUCATOR_PROGRAM. According to Commander Salamander, the Diversity Education Program is “poison wrapped in a few nice marshmallows…but its poison nonetheless.”
The Naval Academy Diversity Education Program is further outlined in Enclosure (10) DPE Education Session Guide v3 dtd 26 Feb 0800_Redacted (1) of USNA COMDTMIDNINST 1500.5. American Citizens can read and understand the indoctrination program for themselves and make their own independent judgement about what that program is doing to accomplish or denigrate the Mission of the US Naval Academy as it was established in 1845.
The Quasi-Woke policies currently installed at the US Naval Academy were previously promoted by the former pronouncements of the last Woke CNO; he was another of Obama’s pre-screened Navy Captains, who had been screened to determine if they were Woke enough to be allowed to be considered for promotion to Flag Officer. In 2021, the CNO provided the support, that hopefully, only a minority number of previously recruited civilian faculty members agreed with, but that all the Military Instructors were ordered to support by the Superintendent of what was a Marxist created Diversity and Black Lives Matter Policy, they then modified the 175-year-old tried and true Military Education Program with the new “Diversity Education Program”.
That well defined 175-year-old Military Education Program graduated US Naval Officers and US Marine Corps Officers who were effective and became well known famous leaders in the US Navy and in the US Marine Corps during the Civil War, the Spanish American War, World War I, World War II, The Korean War, the Vietnam Conflict, and in Operation Desert Storm.
The purpose of 175-year-old Military Education Program, established to train Midshipmen, was to prepare them to graduate as effective and unbiased military leaders, and to assigned billets in the US Navy and the US Marine Corps, and to follow their sacred oath, to protect, and defend the US Constitutional Republic from Enemies both Foreign and Domestic.
The current “Diversity Education Program” taken from Marxist Black Lives Matter Diversity Policies, if not changed, will negatively affect the independent creative military minds of many of the future US Navy Officers and US Marine Corps Officers who will eventually graduate from the US Naval Academy.
Some of the civilian faculty members, who may have been Woke, and all the Military Instructors who were ordered to support the “Diversity Education Program”, as outlined in USNA COMDTMIDNINST 1500.5, did develop the “Diversity Education Program.” At the same time, the policies of Obama’s pre-screened and indoctrinated Secretary of Defense and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, have been working to change the once outstanding Military Education Programs in the five Military Service Academies, whose “only” purpose was to train and equip Patriotic Americans to be competent members of the US Armed Forces, into “Diversity Education Program” that incorporate the policies of Marxist Black Lives Matter Diversity Policies.
Midshipmen have always been indoctrinated to emulate John Paul Jones’ below listed “Qualifications of a Naval Officer;” there was nothing about race.
"Qualifications of a Naval Officer," was the moral and intellectual charter of the Military Education Program at the US Naval Academy for 175 years, and was the sure and everlasting charge of John Paul Jones, called the Father of the Navy, which Midshipmen memorized, and tried to emulate.
“It is by no means enough that an officer of the navy should be a capable mariner. He must be that, of course, but also a great deal more. He should be as well a gentleman of liberal education, refined manners, punctilious courtesy, and the nicest sense of personal honor.... He should be the soul of tact, patience, justice, firmness, and charity. No meritorious act of a subordinate should escape his attention or be left to pass without its reward, even if the reward is only a word of approval. Conversely, he should not be blind to a single fault in any subordinate, though, at the same time, he should be quick and unfailing to distinguish error from malice, thoughtlessness from incompetency, and well-meant shortcoming from heedless or stupid blunder.
The “Qualifications of a Naval Officer” has become one of the sacred canons of Naval Heritage and it is devoid of racism, which is now being indoctrinated in Midshipmen at the Naval Academy. The question remains, however, whether Naval Academy Midshipmen, who were once taught to be “critical thinkers,” as well as dutiful Naval and Marine Officers for 175 years, until the Biden/Obama administration warped the 175-year education program with the “Diversity Education Program”. Will the Midshipmen be up to the challenge of following the inspiration traditions of the US Naval Academy and the US Navy and US Marine Corps that have always been devoid of racist education and indoctrination programs until the “Diversity Education Program” and the Marxist Black Lives Matter Policies now being indoctrinated and brainwashed into the minds of Midshipmen.
Unfortunately, Domestic Enemies and Marxist type Political Officers, called Diversity Officers in the US military, have been working to brainwash the minds of the Midshipmen and indoctrinate them in the Marxist created Black Lives Matter Diversity Policies being interwoven into the training of Midshipmen at the US Naval Academy, as explained in the below listed STARRS article, further explaining the indoctrination, and training of all Midshipmen. The thousands of hours employed in training Midshipmen in the “Diversity Education Program”, are thousands of hours “lost forever” over the four years of educational programs for Midshipmen, that should have been used instead for professional military training, to develop highly qualified US Naval Officers and US Marine Corps Officers,
Commander Salamander believes the Diversity Program at the US Naval Academy can identify Midshipmen who are opposed to racial discrimination and that the Diversity Officers will encourages their disfavor, or better if they cannot be brainwashed and indoctrinated, they will have to be eliminated from the US Navy and the US Marine Corps.

This is one of those DivThu that could be a, in a word, tome.
As such, I am only going to pull a small portion of the things I normally would. You will have to do some reading yourself.
Trust me on this, depending on your areas of concern, you will find many items worse than I will pull out on today’s post.
Poison wrapped in a few nice marshmallows…but poison nonetheless.
The focus of this week’s DivThu is what is going on at the US Naval Academy. I’ve had all sorts of people, from active duty to retired USNA alumni (and others…ahem) reach out to me – a NROTC guy – because they want to get the word out concerning what is going on.
Not only do they love their school, they know how important USNA is to the Navy writ large. What starts, or stops there, is brought in to the fleet. Good or bad, it comes in.
As we have covered over the years, the diversity industry, their fellow travelers and useful idiots, have had USNA in their sights for a long time. As it is military, you have a high degree of control over the student body.
As it is – wrongly – trying so hard to compete with other universities, it has brought on faculty who are true believers – or want to be seen as true believers – in all the latest fads in academia.
No one has stood in the way of their push to bring to Annapolis what they find in Oberlin.
The quasi-woke religion as promoted by the CNO provided all the supporting fires they needed and the commissariat decided to make hay while the sun shines.
You know the drill.
Do you want Political Officers, USNA’s own Zampolit? You’ll get them.
Want blue and gold Red Guards? You’re going to have them.
You want red in tooth and claw racism, quotas, and different standards based on self-identified racial groups? You’re going to have more of it.
1. Purpose. To provide guidance and designate responsibilities for implementation of the Diversity Peer Educator (DPE) Program.
b. DPEs support moral development at USNA by facilitating small group conversations that educate and inform midshipmen, faculty, and staff and foster a culture of inclusion across the Yard, resulting in cohesive teams ready to exert maximal performance and win the Naval service’s battles.
I’m not sure you could get more Orwellian … but they’re going to try;
a. USNA Chief Diversity Officer. The Chief Diversity Officer is the final approving authority for all matters pertaining to the DPE Program and will ensure the program is in line with Department of the Navy and Superintendent’s guidance in reference (a).
a. DPE Program Manager. The program manager for DPE is an active-duty officer appointed by the Chief Diversity Officer. Faculty/staff from the Stockdale Center for Ethical Leadership, the Naval Academy Athletic Association (NAAA), or other cost-centers on the Yard will aid the program manager.
Yes, the football booster organization will “help” the Zampolits. Huh. You see that, yes? Pull that thread…
c. Brigade Dignity and Respect Officer. Reference ( c) delineates the roles and responsibilities of the Brigade Dignity and Respect Officer (BDRO) who is accountable for the training, development, and qualification of the DPEs. However, the DPEs are organized and managed by the Midshipman DPE Lead.
d. Midshipmen DPE Lead. A midshipman selected annually by the DPE Program Manager and confirmed by the USNA Chief Diversity Officer. The Midshipmen DPE Lead is typically a First Class Midshipman. Responsibilities include:
(1) Work with the DPE Program Manager to ensure the mission of the program is met.
(2) Provide feedback and keep the DPE Program Manager informed regarding anything that may impact the DPE program.
(3) Serve as the senior DPE, and as the program representative to the BDRO.
(4) Lead and provide guidance to the DPE Midshipmen.
(5) Appoint and manage DPE leads in each battalion, company, varsity athletic team and club sport team.
I’ll let you do the math on how many bodies “each” means. That is a lot of Zampolits. I guess MIDN have a lot of extra time.
Again, I want you to ponder the opportunity cost of this across USNA and how it relates to professional development.
g. DPE. Midshipmen who have attended DPE Education, completed all DPE qualification requirements including Personnel Qualification Standards (PQS) and who are designated in writing by the DPE Program Manager. Responsibilities include:
(1) Conduct a minimum of two small group discussions within their company each semester. These sessions should include fewer than 15 participants per session when possible. A session will consist of an open conversation about leading a diverse group of people, ensuring that everyone is treated with dignity and respect and feels a sense of belonging in the group.
(2) Conduct a minimum of one small group discussion per varsity/club sports team per semester.
(3) DPEs have the ability to hold additional sessions or events at the discretion of their Company Officer, Senior Enlisted Leader, or Coach.
(4) Participate in at least one Diversity and Inclusion Program event per semester. These include, but are not limited to: Cultural Affinity Group/Extra Curricular Activity events, Midshipmen Diversity Team events, etc.
(5) Attend the USNA Diversity and Inclusion Conference.
(6) Participate in any continuing education as prescribed by the DPE Program Manager.
(7) Assist with the planning and execution of Office of Diversity Equity and Inclusion (ODEI) led events at USNA.
As all Zampolits must do … one must have a record of events and who is at them;
6. Records Management
a. Records created as a result of this instruction, regardless of format or media, must be maintained and dispositioned for the standard subject identification codes (SSIC) 1000 through 13000 series per the records disposition schedules located on the Department of the Navy/ Assistant for Administration (DON/ AA), Directives and Records Management Division(DRMD) portal page at httpsl://portal.secnav.navy.mil/orgs/DUSNM/DONAA/DRM/Recordsand-Information-Management/Approved%20Record%20Schedules/Forms/Allltems.aspx.

One positive thing here is that they are no longer denying that this is all political. They are daring you to say there is anything wrong.

This is full of problems, but here is where they let the mask slip for those still holding out for something benign and worthy of our republic;
Action 3d. Bring equity to the leadership and training opportunities for all populations.
Step 3d1. Intentionally develop selection panels with representation from different populations. Intentionally use different panel members from underrepresented populations to include multiple perspectives in the selection process.
That is a quota system. We know what the Navy’s definition of “equity” is – it is not equality or equal opportunity; it is equal outcomes.
This whole effort isn’t just about bureaucratic growth or supporting more paid positions for otherwise unemployable “diversity and inclusion” nomenklatura, no … it is much worse.
This is about developing a system of indoctrination normalizing a system of incentives and disincentives to provide advantages and disadvantages to individuals based upon their membership in self-identified sectarian blocks – and inculcating and then enforcing ideological support for enforced sectarianism.
Recall, they are doing this starting with a cohort of young men and women most of whom were in 1st and 2nd Grade when Obama was sworn in as President.
This is about identifying people who are opposed to racial discrimination and encouraging their disfavor or better, elimination from the Navy.
