  • Op Ed # 681 A Letter Signed by 14 Senators and Congressmen, Including 5 Endorsed Combat Veterans For Congress, Accused Tim Walz of “Stolen Valor”

By Capt Joseph R. John, August 23, 2024

To fully understand the background of Tim Walz, and the reason the subject letter was sent to him by members of the Senate and Congress, the American people must be informed that Tim Walz is fascinated with and supports Communist China.  Walz made 30 trips to Communist China in the last 31 years.  He speaks Chinese, lived and taught High School in Communist Chinese Schools, and encouraged his young students in Minnesota to approve of Communist China’s philosophy.

Walz often brought his young Minnesota High School students with him on his annual trips to China, indoctrinating them in the Communist Chinese philosophy; the student‘s trips were paid for by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).  Marxist Extremist Tim Walz celebrated his marriage by going on his honeymoon to Communist China on the Anniversary of Communist China’s brutal repression in Tiananmen Square of Chinese students who were demonstrating for Freedom of expression.

Walz is now campaigning with Kamala Harris, the daughter of Marxist Professor Donald Harris, to get elected as the first Communist President and Vice President of the United States.  If elected, over the next four years they will work to fundamentally change the US Constitutional Republic into Obama’s vision of what the United States should be changed to, a Marxist State.  Members of Congress are fully aware of what Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, Barrack Hussein Obama, and George Soros have in store for America, if they can get the first two Communists who were ever nominated for President and Vice President of the United States elected.  With that in mind, Cong Brian Mast, SSgt-USA (Ret) (Ranger) (EOD) (WW) (R-Fl-8) drafted a letter to be sent to Tim Walz.

Cong Mast sent the letter to the office of the US Vice President, reminding Walz that he is seeking: "a position that requires the trust of the American people and a solemn commitment to duty on behalf of the United States of America." The letter was signed by 14 elected members of Congress who are US Military Veterans (4 US Senators and 10 US Congressmen).  They opposed the acts of “Stolen Valor” by Marxist Extremist Tim Walz who had been selected by Kamala Harris as her Vice President running mate.  The letter stated, "As Veterans who have served our nation, we feel compelled to address your egregious misrepresentations and urge you to come clean to the American people."

Five of the signers of the letter are endorsed Combat Veterans For Congress, including Cong Brian J. Mast, SSgt-USA (Ret)(Ranger)(EOD)(WW) (R-FL-18), Cong Scott G. Perry, BGen (Ret)/PA-ARNG (R-PA-10), Cong James E. Banks, Lt/USNR (R-IN-Senate), Cong Jack W. Bergman, LTG-USMCR (Ret) (R-MI-1), and Cong Donald J Bacon, BGen-USAF (Ret) (R-NB-2).  The letter was also signed by the following US Military Veterans, Sen Joni Ernst USA, (R-IA-Senate), Sen Roger Marshall, USAR (R-KS-Senate), Sen Rick Scott, USN (R-FL-Senate), Sen Roger Wicker, USAFR (R-MS-Senate), Cong Brian Babin, USAF (R-TX-36), Cong Jennifer Kiggans, USN (R-VA-2), Cong Greg Lopez, USAF (R-CO-4), Cong Cory Mills, USA (R-FL-7), and Cong Barry Moore, USANG (R-AL-2).

Marxist Tim Walz’s multiple lies about his military service are listed below; US Military Veterans would refer to those acts as “Stolen Valor.”

Walz boasted multiple times over a 19-year period about being a "retired Command Sergeant Major," which is not true.  The letter signed by 14 Senators and Congressmen went on to say, "You have stated you are 'damn proud' of your service, and like any American Veteran should be.  But there is no honor in lying about the nature of your service.  Repeatedly claiming to be a 'retired Command Sergeant Major' when you did not complete the requirements, which was not Honorable."  Walz retired as a Master Sergeant.

Walz also bragged about carrying weapons of war during the Iraq War, on being deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, when he was deployed to Italy not Iraq, to work in Italy as a lawyer.  Walz never carried any weapons of war in any war nor in combat.  He lied again about that.

As Walz tells it, when the planes hit the Twin Towers on Sept. 11, 2001, the attack compelled him to re-enlist in lieu of taking his 20-year retirement to perform his patriotic duty to serve his country in a time of war.  His service obligation was not up in 2001, it was up in August 2002.  He lied again by saying he was compelled to re-enlist in 2001 when he said his service obligation was up.  He never re-enlisted in 2001.

Two months before his unit was alerted to deploy for Combat Duty to Iraq, instead of deploying with his unit as the unit’s senior enlisted man, he retired to avoid Combat Duty.  Tom Hagen, an Iraqi war combat veteran, was also a former unit member with Walz in the 1st Battalion, 125th Field Artillery of the Minnesota Army National Guard.  Hagen criticized Walz’s decision to retire within two months of receiving a warning order that his battalion was scheduled to deploy to Iraq for Combat Duty.

Republican Vice-Presidential nominee, US Senator James D Vance, Cpl-USMC (R-OH-Senate), an endorsed Combat Veteran For Congress, who served on Combat Duty in Iraq, as well as other Military Veterans, criticized Walz for retiring only months before his unit was scheduled to deploy for Combat Duty in Iraq in 2005.

The reason Cong Mast drafted the letter that was sent to Tim Walz, with 14 signatures by military Veterans serving in Congress, was because of the multiple “Stolen Valor” acts that Tim Waltz was repeatedly involved in over a 19 year period.  It appears that Tim Walz is a compulsive liar when it comes to his military service.

Incidentally, Walz never was a Football Coach, an Assistant Football Coach, nor a even member of the high school football coaching staff; he was a "volunteer" helping the coaching staff out, yet he took full credit for the football team winning the Minnesota State Championship.  The below listed article explains the reason for the letter that was sent to Tim Walz by 14 members of Congress.

“Stolen Valor” Letter Crashes Into Walz Just As He's Taking DNC Stage

Veterans who are in Congress deliver their vote of 'no confidence'

By Bob Unruh

August 22, 2024

Tim Walz, the extremist Minnesota governor beset by charges of "stolen valor" for abandoning his National Guard unit just before it was deployed to Iraq, was hit with a letter charging that he could not be trusted just as he was taking the Democrat National Convention stage this week.

He was picked to be the party's vice presidential nominee this year.

The letter was from military veterans in Congress.

And it delivered a vote of no confidence.

According to a Fox News report, in the letter the lawmakers call the office of vice president "a position that requires the trust of the American people and a solemn commitment to duty on behalf of the United States of America."

And they explain, "As veterans who have served our nation, we feel compelled to address your egregious misrepresentations and urge you to come clean to the American people."

They charge, "You have stated you are 'damn proud' of your service, and like any American veteran should be. But there is no honor in lying about the nature of your service. Repeatedly claiming to be a 'retired command sergeant major' when you did not complete the requirements was not honorable."

In fact, Walz reached the rank of "command sergeant major" but in order to keep that standing at retirement, a soldier must have had the rank for a period of time and complete certain courses, a task at which Walz failed.

Still, he has boasted multiple times in recent years about being a "retired command sergeant major," which he is not.

The letter was distributed to journalists by the Trump campaign, the report said.

Walz joined the Nebraska National Guard as a teen and later served in various locations. He also has bragged about carrying weapons of war during the Iraq war, when he actually was assigned to Italy, and to work as a lawyer there.

Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance, the senator from Ohio, and others have criticized Walz for retiring only months before his unit was deployed to Iraq in 2005.

The letter was led by retired Army sergeant Rep. Brian Mast, R-Fla., and signed by other servicemembers-turned-lawmakers including Sens. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, Roger Marshall, R-Kan., Rick Scott, R-Fla., Roger Wicker, R-Miss., Reps. Brian Babin, R-Texas, Jennifer Kiggans, R-Va., Jim Banks, R-Ind., Greg Lopez, R-Calif., Cory Mills, R-Fla., Scott Perry, R-Pa., Barry Moore, R-Ala., Jack Bergman, R-Mich., and Don Bacon, R-Neb.

The letter pointed out; "Nor was it honorable to claim to carry weapons 'in war' when you had not served in war, and abandoning the men and women under your leadership just as they were getting ready to deploy was certainly not honorable either."

The letter closed with a vote of no confidence in Kamala Harris' pick for VP.

".. Until you admit you lied to [America's veterans], there is no way you can be trusted to serve as vice president," it said.
